Experience HD video in all its splendor thanks to the LN46C630's Full HD 1920 x 1080p LCD panel equipped with Clear Motion 120Hz processing for smooth and lifelike video. Further, an ethernet port teams up with AllShare technology, allowing you to connect this Samsung LCD to your home network, making it possible to stream audio and video directly to the HDTV. Finally, while an ENERGY STAR qualification ensures energy-efficient performance, four HDMI inputs offer optimal HD system connectivity.

5 out of 5 stars Definitely Worth It   September 3, 2010
    Osman S.
Disclosure: This is my first HD TV.

Summary: Worth the money, buy it!

So I finally made the switch to HD and after hours of reviewing information online, I settled for this TV. Overall I'm really happy with it except for a few minor points:
    - Remote: The remote doesn't work with my LG Blu-Ray player. I don't know why manufacturers insist on making their own proprietary format for remote controls codes, but none the less it is a short coming
    - Lack of wireless connectivity: Although this TV does support ethernet, it requires an additional $60 adapter if you want it to connect wirelessly to the network. It is a shortcoming so make sure you are able to run a wire to the TV if you want to access networked content
    - Update documentation: I tried to upgrade the firmware on this TV box and the documentation was nearly non-existent. Also it only works from a Windows based box, sorry for you Mac/Linux lovers out there!

Overall though, I am extremely happy about everything else with this TV. The delivery guys even unboxed/set it up for my GF while I was away at work.

5 out of 5 stars Great Picture, Great Value   September 1, 2010
Edwin Colfax (Chicago, IL United States)
We are very happy with this TV, which we have been watching for over a month now. The picture quality was outstanding right out of the box, hooked up to digital cable. Very minimal tweaking of picture settings needed to deliver an outstanding image. After doing all the research on the latest and greatest out there (LED, and in particular, true full array LED backlighting) I looked at the image quality of this TV at a local store and could not justify the extra $400+ for it. While I don't claim to be an expert, I find the contrast and blacks to be very good on this TV, and the overall image and color quality are excellent. The style of this TV is also nice and sleek, and I especially like the ease of pivoting the TV on its stand, which is a cool translucent cylinder. My regular old DVD player looks great playing on this TV, and the HD content on digital cable blew me away. I find the sound quality good, but it is not going to deliver the big cinema sound that many folks are coming to expect (just like most TVs these days). Amazon's delivery on this was a little slow (with free shipping it was a full two weeks for delivery), but I was very happy with the delivery service. They unboxed it, assembled the stand and hooked it up to my cable and DVD.

5 out of 5 stars Samsung 46 inch LCD TV 630 series   August 31, 2010

I saw this TV in a store where I could compare it to others the same size. I thought it had one of the best pictures. I prefer LCD over plasma TVs, but I have heard the differences are smaller all the time.

I ordered it, it came new in the box and was virtually plug & play. Very satisfied.

4 out of 5 stars nice LCD for the price   August 28, 2010
    L. Scott (CHAGRIN FALLS, OH, US)
Researched a long time. Wanted a LED set but this is good enough for right now and the price of $900.00 is worth it. Samsung is a popular name so I decided to stay with the tried and true. Just set it up today. EASY. Make sure you re adjust the settings for as it is running real hot out of the box. Some of them were adjusted to 100%. Also, make sure your settings on the cable box are set right for the TV. Aspect ratio and such. I get glare from a lamp in the room but we can deal with those little things. Remote needs to be pointed directly at the corner of the set and takes a little getting use to. I can live with that. I use the cable one most of the time anyways. The only think I have to complain about is the shipping company Amazon uses. It sat on a dock and the shipper said they emailed me to set up delivery. They didnt and it would still be there if I hadn't done a search and called the shipper. It was a hastle but it is what it is. Antiquated shipping-YES Love my new TV -YES. OH YEEAH!

    5 out of 5 stars Samsung LN46C630 46-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)   August 27, 2010

Well worth the price. Excellent picture and picture quality. At first the picture bothered me because it was too much "like being there." Sound is not the greatest, not because of quality, but because you have to have the sound on 40 before you can hear over a window air conditioner 10 feet away and behind you. This TV is much thinner than any we've had, so it would be excellent for folks who have limited space available between wall and TV.
